Come Relax and Unwind
Where slowing down is Welcomed and Encouraged
Our
Story
Coppice; an area of woodland in which a group of trees are periodically cut back to ground level to stimulate growth.
Welcome to Cedars Coppice, a haven of relaxation, to release and stimulate growth within your spirit.
Cedars Coppice LLC is the heart’s desire of owner, Shelby White. Cedar trees have been a sentimental part of her life journey. From playing beneath them as a small child, the shared connection of being their favorite tree with her late father, Floyd White, to being her RYLA camp nickname for a decade.
Her love of nature can be seen all around the life she has created for herself and her family, beginning with her first tattoo…a cedar tree on her wrist, followed by bees flying freely up her arm.
Shelby is a Suma Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University - Commerce, a camp leader for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) and a rooted Bastrop resident. Encouraging her generation to be connected to the old world simplicity that Bastrop, TX cherishes is another of Shelby’s goals.
This is why Cedars Coppice is about reconnecting with oneself, the love of nature and recalling what is beautiful about this life. Cedar’s purpose is to provide a place of comfort to detach from the stresses of everyday life while enjoying a delicious beverage and tasteful food. Cedar’s also offers items for purchase from local vendors such as locally grown plants, art from native residents, books not commonly available and many other valuables that will bring joy into your life.
Here at Cedars Coppice we want you to “cut back” the stresses of outside world and enjoy the regrowth of calmness after you leave.
Birth signifies the beginning of a new life cycle, therefore, Shelby has chosen her late father’s birthday as opening day. Come join us on August 30, 2025 as we celebrate our regrowth, Shelby’s dream coming true and the beauty of a life well lived.
A life lived in peace is the most valuable work of art. ~ Vivian N. Wyatt
